CVE-2026-43160 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-14 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mfd: macsmc: Initialize mutex Initialize struct apple_smc's mutex in apple_smc_probe(). Using the mutex uninitialized surprisingly resulted only in occasional NULL pointer dereferences in apple_smc_read() calls from the probe() functions of sub devices.
CVE-2026-43221 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-12 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipmi: ipmb: initialise event handler read bytes IPMB doesn't use i2c reads, but the handler needs to set a value. Otherwise an i2c read will return an uninitialised value from the bus driver.
CVE-2024-27024 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-05-12 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/rds: fix WARNING in rds_conn_connect_if_down If connection isn't established yet, get_mr() will fail, trigger connection after get_mr().
CVE-2026-43040 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-08 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ipv6: ndisc: fix ndisc_ra_useropt to initialize nduseropt_padX fields to zero to prevent an info-leak When processing Router Advertisements with user options the kernel builds an RTM_NEWNDUSEROPT netlink message. The nduseroptmsg struct has three padding fields that are never zeroed and can leak kernel data The fix is simple, just zeroes the padding fields.
CVE-2026-43039 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-08 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ti: icssg-prueth: fix missing data copy and wrong recycle in ZC RX dispatch emac_dispatch_skb_zc() allocates a new skb via napi_alloc_skb() but never copies the packet data from the XDP buffer into it. The skb is passed up the stack containing uninitialized heap memory instead of the actual received packet, leaking kernel heap contents to userspace. Copy the received packet data from the XDP buffer into the skb using skb_copy_to_linear_data(). Additionally, remove the skb_mark_for_recycle() call since the skb is backed by the NAPI page frag allocator, not page_pool. Marking a non-page_pool skb for recycle causes the free path to return pages to a page_pool that does not own them, corrupting page_pool state. The non-ZC path (emac_rx_packet) does not have these issues because it uses napi_build_skb() to wrap the existing page_pool page directly, requiring no copy, and correctly marks for recycle since the page comes from page_pool_dev_alloc_pages().
CVE-2026-31693 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-07 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cifs: some missing initializations on replay In several places in the code, we have a label to signify the start of the code where a request can be replayed if necessary. However, some of these places were missing the necessary reinitializations of certain local variables before replay. This change makes sure that these variables get initialized after the label.
CVE-2026-40687 1 Exim 1 Exim 2026-05-01 4.8 Medium
In Exim before 4.99.2, when the SPA authentication driver is used with an adversarial SPA resource, there can be an out-of-bounds write that crashes the connection instance, or erroneous data processing that divulges data from uninitialized heap memory.
CVE-2026-31482 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-28 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/entry: Scrub r12 register on kernel entry Before commit f33f2d4c7c80 ("s390/bp: remove TIF_ISOLATE_BP"), all entry handlers loaded r12 with the current task pointer (lg %r12,__LC_CURRENT) for use by the BPENTER/BPEXIT macros. That commit removed TIF_ISOLATE_BP, dropping both the branch prediction macros and the r12 load, but did not add r12 to the register clearing sequence. Add the missing xgr %r12,%r12 to make the register scrub consistent across all entry points.
CVE-2026-23425 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-27 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: arm64: Fix ID register initialization for non-protected pKVM guests In protected mode, the hypervisor maintains a separate instance of the `kvm` structure for each VM. For non-protected VMs, this structure is initialized from the host's `kvm` state. Currently, `pkvm_init_features_from_host()` copies the `KVM_ARCH_FLAG_ID_REGS_INITIALIZED` flag from the host without the underlying `id_regs` data being initialized. This results in the hypervisor seeing the flag as set while the ID registers remain zeroed. Consequently, `kvm_has_feat()` checks at EL2 fail (return 0) for non-protected VMs. This breaks logic that relies on feature detection, such as `ctxt_has_tcrx()` for TCR2_EL1 support. As a result, certain system registers (e.g., TCR2_EL1, PIR_EL1, POR_EL1) are not saved/restored during the world switch, which could lead to state corruption. Fix this by explicitly copying the ID registers from the host `kvm` to the hypervisor `kvm` for non-protected VMs during initialization, since we trust the host with its non-protected guests' features. Also ensure `KVM_ARCH_FLAG_ID_REGS_INITIALIZED` is cleared initially in `pkvm_init_features_from_host` so that `vm_copy_id_regs` can properly initialize them and set the flag once done.
CVE-2026-23362 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-24 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: can: bcm: fix locking for bcm_op runtime updates Commit c2aba69d0c36 ("can: bcm: add locking for bcm_op runtime updates") added a locking for some variables that can be modified at runtime when updating the sending bcm_op with a new TX_SETUP command in bcm_tx_setup(). Usually the RX_SETUP only handles and filters incoming traffic with one exception: When the RX_RTR_FRAME flag is set a predefined CAN frame is sent when a specific RTR frame is received. Therefore the rx bcm_op uses bcm_can_tx() which uses the bcm_tx_lock that was only initialized in bcm_tx_setup(). Add the missing spin_lock_init() when allocating the bcm_op in bcm_rx_setup() to handle the RTR case properly.
CVE-2026-23373 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-24 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: rsi: Don't default to -EOPNOTSUPP in rsi_mac80211_config This triggers a WARN_ON in ieee80211_hw_conf_init and isn't the expected behavior from the driver - other drivers default to 0 too.
CVE-2026-23326 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-23 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xsk: Fix fragment node deletion to prevent buffer leak After commit b692bf9a7543 ("xsk: Get rid of xdp_buff_xsk::xskb_list_node"), the list_node field is reused for both the xskb pool list and the buffer free list, this causes a buffer leak as described below. xp_free() checks if a buffer is already on the free list using list_empty(&xskb->list_node). When list_del() is used to remove a node from the xskb pool list, it doesn't reinitialize the node pointers. This means list_empty() will return false even after the node has been removed, causing xp_free() to incorrectly skip adding the buffer to the free list. Fix this by using list_del_init() instead of list_del() in all fragment handling paths, this ensures the list node is reinitialized after removal, allowing the list_empty() to work correctly.
CVE-2009-3228 3 Canonical, Linux, Redhat 8 Ubuntu Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux and 5 more 2026-04-23 N/A
The tc_fill_tclass function in net/sched/sch_api.c in the tc subsystem in the Linux kernel 2.4.x before 2.4.37.6 and 2.6.x before 2.6.31-rc9 does not initialize certain (1) tcm__pad1 and (2) tcm__pad2 structure members, which might allow local users to obtain sensitive information from kernel memory via unspecified vectors.

CVE-2021-22898 7 Debian, Fedoraproject, Haxx and 4 more 13 Debian Linux, Fedora, Curl and 10 more 2026-04-16 3.1 Low
curl 7.7 through 7.76.1 suffers from an information disclosure when the `-t` command line option, known as `CURLOPT_TELNETOPTIONS` in libcurl, is used to send variable=content pairs to TELNET servers. Due to a flaw in the option parser for sending NEW_ENV variables, libcurl could be made to pass on uninitialized data from a stack based buffer to the server, resulting in potentially revealing sensitive internal information to the server using a clear-text network protocol.
CVE-2005-1036 2 Amd, Freebsd 2 Amd64, Freebsd 2026-04-16 7.8 High
FreeBSD 5.x to 5.4 on AMD64 does not properly initialize the IO permission bitmap used to allow user access to certain hardware, which allows local users to bypass intended access restrictions to cause a denial of service, obtain sensitive information, and possibly gain privileges.
CVE-2024-52870 2026-04-15 7.1 High

CVE-2024-53845 1 Espressif 1 Esp-idf 2026-04-15 N/A
ESPTouch is a connection protocol for internet of things devices. In the ESPTouchV2 protocol, while there is an option to use a custom AES key, there is no option to set the IV (Initialization Vector) prior to versions 5.3.2, 5.2.4, 5.1.6, and 5.0.8. The IV is set to zero and remains constant throughout the product's lifetime. In AES/CBC mode, if the IV is not properly initialized, the encrypted output becomes deterministic, leading to potential data leakage. To address the aforementioned issues, the application generates a random IV when activating the AES key starting in versions 5.3.2, 5.2.4, 5.1.6, and 5.0.8. This IV is then transmitted along with the provision data to the provision device. The provision device has also been equipped with a parser for the AES IV. The upgrade is applicable for all applications and users of ESPTouch v2 component from ESP-IDF. As it is implemented in the ESP Wi-Fi stack, there is no workaround for the user to fix the application layer without upgrading the underlying firmware.
CVE-2024-9780 1 Wireshark 1 Wireshark 2026-03-27 7.8 High
ITS dissector crash in Wireshark 4.4.0 allows denial of service via packet injection or crafted capture file
CVE-2020-16932 1 Microsoft 5 365 Apps, Excel, Office and 2 more 2026-02-23 7.8 High
<p>A remote code execution vulnerability exists in Microsoft Excel software when the software fails to properly handle objects in memory. An attacker who successfully exploited the vulnerability could run arbitrary code in the context of the current user. If the current user is logged on with administrative user rights, an attacker could take control of the affected system. An attacker could then install programs; view, change, or delete data; or create new accounts with full user rights. Users whose accounts are configured to have fewer user rights on the system could be less impacted than users who operate with administrative user rights.</p> <p>Exploitation of the vulnerability requires that a user open a specially crafted file with an affected version of Microsoft Excel. In an email attack scenario, an attacker could exploit the vulnerability by sending the specially crafted file to the user and convincing the user to open the file. In a web-based attack scenario, an attacker could host a website (or leverage a compromised website that accepts or hosts user-provided content) containing a specially crafted file designed to exploit the vulnerability. An attacker would have no way to force users to visit the website. Instead, an attacker would have to convince users to click a link, typically by way of an enticement in an email or instant message, and then convince them to open the specially crafted file.</p> <p>The security update addresses the vulnerability by correcting how Microsoft Excel handles objects in memory.</p>
