CVSS v3.1 |
| Team ENVY, a Security Research TEAM has found a flaw that allows for a remote code execution on the NVR. An attacker can cause a stack overflow by entering large data into URL parameters, which will result in a system reboot. The manufacturer has released patch firmware for the flaw, please refer to the manufacturer's report for details and workarounds. |
| Stack-based buffer overflow in some drivers for Intel(R) Ethernet Connection I219 Series before version 12.19.1.39 may allow an authenticated user to potentially enable denial of service via local access. |
| The HTTPD binary in multiple ZTE routers has a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in check_data_integrity function. This function is responsible for validating the checksum of data in post request. The checksum is sent encrypted in the request, the function decrypts it and stores the checksum on the stack without validating it. An unauthenticated attacker can get RCE as root by exploiting this vulnerability. |
| XStream is a simple library to serialize objects to XML and back again. This vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to terminate the application with a stack overflow error resulting in a denial of service only by manipulating the processed input stream when XStream is configured to use the BinaryStreamDriver. XStream 1.4.21 has been patched to detect the manipulation in the binary input stream causing the the stack overflow and raises an InputManipulationException instead. Users are advised to upgrade. Users unable to upgrade may catch the StackOverflowError in the client code calling XStream if XStream is configured to use the BinaryStreamDriver. |
| Sending a crafted SOAP "set" operation message within the Mobile Network Operator (MNO) internal Radio Access Network (RAN) management network can cause Nokia Single RAN baseband OAM service component restart with software versions earlier than release 24R1-SR 1.0 MP. This issue has been corrected to release 24R1-SR 1.0 MP and later.
The OAM service component restarts automatically after the stack overflow without causing a base station restart or network service degradation, and without leaving any permanent impact on the Nokia Single RAN baseband OAM service. |
| TP-Link AX1800 WiFi 6 Router (Archer AX21) devices allow unauthenticated attackers (on the LAN) to execute arbitrary code as root via the db_dir field to minidlnad. The attacker obtains the ability to modify files.db, and that can be used to reach a stack-based buffer overflow in minidlna-1.1.2/upnpsoap.c. Exploitation requires that a USB flash drive is connected to the router (customers often do this to make a \\192.168.0.1 share available on their local network). |
| A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the
securebio_identify functionality of Dell ControlVault3 prior to 5.15.10.14 and Dell ControlVault3 Plus prior to 6.2.26.36. A
specially crafted malicious cv_object can lead to a arbitrary code
execution. An attacker can issue an API call to trigger this
vulnerability. |
| A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the tmUnblock.cgi endpoint of the Linksys WRT120N wireless router. The vulnerability is triggered by sending a specially crafted HTTP POST request with an overly long TM_Block_URL parameter to the endpoint. By exploiting this flaw, an unauthenticated remote attacker can overwrite memory in a controlled manner, enabling them to temporarily reset the administrator password of the device to a blank value. This grants unauthorized access to the router’s web management interface without requiring valid credentials. |
| An authenticated attacker can trigger a stack based buffer overflow in the DHIP Service (TCP port 80). This vulnerability has been resolved in firmware version 2.800.0000000.8.R.20241111. |
| A buffer overflow vulnerability has been identified in PostScript interpreter in various Lexmark devices. The vulnerability can be leveraged by an attacker to execute arbitrary code.
|
| The specific flaw exists within the Bluetooth stack developed by Alps Alpine of the Infotainment ECU manufactured by Bosch. The issue results from the lack of proper boundary validation of user-supplied data, which can result in a stack-based buffer overflow when receiving a specific packet on the established upper layer L2CAP channel. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to obtain remote code execution on the Infotainment ECU with root privileges.
First identified on Nissan Leaf ZE1 manufactured in 2020. |
| Server receiving a malformed message based on a using the specified key values can cause a stack overflow vulnerability which could lead to an attacker performing remote code execution or causing a failure. See Honeywell Security Notification for recommendations on upgrading and versioning.

Vladimir Kononovich, a Security Researcher has found a flaw that allows for a remote code execution on the DVR. An attacker could inject malicious HTTP headers into request packets to execute arbitrary code. The manufacturer has released patch firmware for the flaw, please refer to the manufacturer's report for details and workarounds.

| The LCD KVM over IP Switch CL5708IM has a Stack-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability in firmware versions prior to v2.2.215, allowing unauthenticated remote attackers to exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code on the device. |

| Sony XAV-AX5500 WMV/ASF Parsing Stack-based Buffer Overflow Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Sony XAV-AX5500 devices. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.
The specific flaw exists within the parsing of WMV/ASF files. A crafted Extended Content Description Object in a WMV media file can trigger an overflow of a fixed-length stack-based buffer. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the device.
. Was ZDI-CAN-22994. |
| Certain models of ASUS routers have buffer overflow vulnerabilities, allowing remote attackers with administrative privileges to execute arbitrary commands on the device. |
| Buffer Overflow vulnerability in emp-ot v.0.2.4 allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code via the FerretCOT<T>::read_pre_data128_from_file function. |
| The HTTPD binary in multiple ZTE routers has a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in rsa_decrypt function. This function is an API wrapper for LUA to decrypt RSA encrypted ciphertext, the decrypted data is stored on the stack without checking its length. An authenticated attacker can get RCE as root by exploiting this vulnerability. |
