root cause is:
page_pool_recycle_in_ring
ptr_ring_produce
spin_lock(&r->producer_lock);
WRITE_ONCE(r->queue[r->producer++], ptr)
//recycle last page to pool
page_pool_release
page_pool_scrub
page_pool_empty_ring
ptr_ring_consume
page_pool_return_page //release all page
__page_pool_destroy
free_percpu(pool->recycle_stats);
free(pool) //free
spin_unlock(&r->producer_lock); //pool->ring uaf read
recycle_stat_inc(pool, ring);
page_pool can be free while page pool recycle the last page in ring.
Add producer-lock barrier to page_pool_release to prevent the page
pool from being free before all pages have been recycled.
recycle_stat_inc() is empty when CONFIG_PAGE_POOL_STATS is not
enabled, which will trigger Wempty-body build warning. Add definition
for pool stat macro to fix warning. |
Use-after-free in the Graphics: WebGPU component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 152 and Thunderbird 152.
Use after free in Downloads in Google Chrome on Android prior to 149.0.7827.155 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High)
Use after free in Extensions in Google Chrome prior to 149.0.7827.155 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to potentially perform a sandbox escape via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High)
Use after free in Media in Google Chrome prior to 149.0.7827.155 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to execute arbitrary code inside a sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High)
Use after free in Browser in Google Chrome prior to 149.0.7827.155 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to potentially perform a sandbox escape via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High)
| NGINX Open Source has a vulnerability in the ngx_http_v3_module module. When NGINX Open Source is configured to use the HTTP/3 QUIC module, a remote unauthenticated attacker along with conditions beyond their control can use a specially crafted HTTP/3 session to reopen a QPACK encoder stream. This may cause a Use-after-Free in the NGINX worker process leading to a restart. Additionally, attackers can execute code on systems with Address Space Layout Randomization (ASLR) disabled or when the attacker can bypass ASLR.
Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated. |
Use-after-free in the Networking: HTTP component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 152, Firefox ESR 140.12, Firefox ESR 115.37, Thunderbird 152, and Thunderbird 140.12.
Memory safety bug fixed in Firefox 152. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 152, Firefox ESR 140.12, Thunderbird 152, and Thunderbird 140.12.
Use after free in Digital Credentials in Google Chrome prior to 149.0.7827.155 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Critical)
Memory safety bug fixed in Firefox 152. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 152, Firefox ESR 140.12, Thunderbird 152, and Thunderbird 140.12.
Memory safety bug fixed in Firefox 152. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 152, Firefox ESR 140.12, Thunderbird 152, and Thunderbird 140.12.
A flaw was found in 389 Directory Server. During schema reload, the attr_syntax_swap_ht() function unconditionally frees attribute syntax information nodes, bypassing the refcount-based deferred deletion used elsewhere in the attribute syntax subsystem. If an administrator triggers schema reload while concurrent LDAP query traffic is active, worker threads may access freed memory, resulting in use-after-free or double-free and a denial of service (server crash).
A use-after-free issue was addressed with improved memory management. This issue is fixed in iOS 18.4 and iPadOS 18.4, iPadOS 17.7.6, macOS Sequoia 15.4, macOS Sonoma 14.7.5, macOS Ventura 13.7.5, tvOS 18.4, visionOS 2.4. An attacker on the local network may be able to corrupt process memory.
Use after free in WebShare in Google Chrome on Windows prior to 149.0.7827.155 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to potentially perform a sandbox escape via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Critical)
Exim before 4.99.3, in certain GnuTLS configurations, has a remotely reachable use-after-free in the BDAT body parsing path. It is triggered when a client sends a TLS close_notify mid-body during a CHUNKING transfer, followed by a final cleartext byte on the same TCP connection. This can lead to heap corruption. An unauthenticated network attacker exploiting this vulnerability could execute arbitrary code.
Use after free in Web Authentication in Google Chrome prior to 149.0.7827.155 allowed a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Critical)
A use after free issue was addressed with improved memory management. This issue is fixed in iOS 18.3 and iPadOS 18.3, iPadOS 17.7.6, macOS Sequoia 15.3, macOS Sonoma 14.7.5, macOS Ventura 13.7.5, tvOS 18.3, visionOS 2.3, watchOS 11.3. A malicious application may be able to elevate privileges. Apple is aware of a report that this issue may have been actively exploited against versions of iOS before iOS 17.2.

Use after free in File Input in Google Chrome on Linux prior to 149.0.7827.155 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Critical)
