CVSS v3.1 |
A local privilege escalation vulnerability exists in the Palo Alto Networks Cortex XDR agent on Windows platforms that enables an authenticated local Windows user to execute programs with SYSTEM privileges. This requires the user to have the privilege to create files in the Windows root directory or to manipulate key registry values. This issue impacts: Cortex XDR agent 5.0 versions earlier than Cortex XDR agent 5.0.11; Cortex XDR agent 6.1 versions earlier than Cortex XDR agent 6.1.8; Cortex XDR agent 7.2 versions earlier than Cortex XDR agent 7.2.3; All versions of Cortex XDR agent 7.2 without content update release 171 or a later version.
An issue was discovered in Foxit Reader and PhantomPDF before 10.1.4. It allows DLL hijacking, aka CNVD-C-2021-68000 and CNVD-C-2021-68502.
Many of the services used by the affected product do not specify full paths for the DLLs they are loading. An attacker can exploit the uncontrolled search path by implanting their own DLL near the affected product’s binaries, thus hijacking the loaded DLL.
Delta Electronics DIALink versions 1.2.4.0 and prior default permissions give extensive permissions to low-privileged user accounts, which may allow an attacker to modify the installation directory and upload malicious files.
Delta Electronics DIALink versions 1.2.4.0 and prior insecurely loads libraries, which may allow an attacker to use DLL hijacking and takeover the system where the software is installed.
Acronis Cyber Protect 15 for Windows prior to build 27009 and Acronis Agent for Windows prior to build 26226 allowed local privilege escalation via DLL hijacking.
The Nextcloud Desktop Client is a tool to synchronize files from Nextcloud Server with a computer. The Nextcloud Desktop Client invokes its uninstaller script when being installed to make sure there are no remnants of previous installations. In versions 3.0.3 through 3.2.4, the Client searches the `Uninstall.exe` file in a folder that can be written by regular users. This could lead to a case where a malicious user creates a malicious `Uninstall.exe`, which would be executed with administrative privileges on the Nextcloud Desktop Client installation. This issue is fixed in Nextcloud Desktop Client version 3.3.0. As a workaround, do not allow untrusted users to create content in the `C:\` system folder and verify that there is no malicious `C:\Uninstall.exe` file on the system.
sharkdp BAT before 0.18.2 executes less.exe from the current working directory.
A vulnerability in Trend Micro ServerProtect for Storage 6.0, ServerProtect for EMC Celerra 5.8, ServerProtect for Network Appliance Filers 5.8, and ServerProtect for Microsoft Windows / Novell Netware 5.8 could allow a remote attacker to bypass authentication on affected installations.
An issue was discovered in Druva 6.9.0 for MacOS, allows attackers to gain escalated local privileges via the inSyncDecommission.
Phone Shop Sales Managements System using PHP with Source Code 1.0 is vulnerable to authentication bypass which leads to account takeover of the admin.
dandavison delta before 0.8.3 on Windows resolves an executable's pathname as a relative path from the current directory.
SupportAssist Client version 3.8 and 3.9 contains an Untrusted search path vulnerability that allows attackers to load an arbitrary .dll file via .dll planting/hijacking, only by a separate administrative action that is not a default part of the SOSInstallerTool.exe installation for executing arbitrary dll's,
LINE for Windows 6.2.1.2289 and before allows arbitrary code execution via malicious DLL injection.
Acrobat Reader DC versions 2021.005.20060 (and earlier), 2020.004.30006 (and earlier) and 2017.011.30199 (and earlier) are affected by an Uncontrolled Search Path Element vulnerability. A local attacker with non-administrative privileges can plant a malicious DLL to achieve arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user via DLL hijacking. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction.
Stormshield Endpoint Security Evolution 2.0.0 through 2.0.2 does not accomplish the intended defense against local administrators who can replace the Visual C++ runtime DLLs (in %WINDIR%\system32) with malicious ones.
The Lexmark Printer Software G2, G3 and G4 Installation Packages have a local escalation of privilege vulnerability due to a registry entry that has an unquoted service path.
As a result of an unquoted service path vulnerability present in the Kiwi Syslog Server Installation Wizard, a local attacker could gain escalated privileges by inserting an executable into the path of the affected service or uninstall entry. Example vulnerable path: "Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\Kiwi Syslog Server\Parameters\Application".
Unisys Stealth 5.1 before 5.1.025.0 and 6.0 before 6.0.055.0 has an unquoted Windows search path for a scheduled task. An unintended executable might run.
TeamViewer before 14.7.48644 on Windows loads untrusted DLLs in certain situations.
