CVSS v3.1 |
Dozer improperly uses a reflection-based approach to type conversion, which might allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted serialized object.
Jython before 2.7.1rc1 allows attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted serialized PyFunction object.
In vBulletin through 5.3.x, there is an unauthenticated deserialization vulnerability that leads to arbitrary file deletion and, under certain circumstances, code execution, because of unsafe usage of PHP's unserialize() in vB_Library_Template's cacheTemplates() function, which is a publicly exposed API. This is exploited with the templateidlist parameter to ajax/api/template/cacheTemplates.
In Apache Spark 1.6.0 until 2.1.1, the launcher API performs unsafe deserialization of data received by its socket. This makes applications launched programmatically using the launcher API potentially vulnerable to arbitrary code execution by an attacker with access to any user account on the local machine. It does not affect apps run by spark-submit or spark-shell. The attacker would be able to execute code as the user that ran the Spark application. Users are encouraged to update to version 2.2.0 or later.
Apache OpenMeetings before 3.1.2 is vulnerable to Remote Code Execution via RMI deserialization attack.
Akka versions <=2.4.16 and 2.5-M1 are vulnerable to a java deserialization attack in its Remoting component resulting in remote code execution in the context of the ActorSystem.
Elixir Plug before v1.0.4, v1.1.7, v1.2.3 and v1.3.2 is vulnerable to arbitrary code execution in the deserialization functions of Plug.Session.
October CMS build 412 is vulnerable to PHP object injection in asset move functionality resulting in ability to delete files limited by file permissions on the server.
A vulnerability in Swagger-Parser's version <= 1.0.30 and Swagger codegen version <= 2.2.2 yaml parsing functionality results in arbitrary code being executed when a maliciously crafted yaml Open-API specification is parsed. This in particular, affects the 'generate' and 'validate' command in swagger-codegen (<= 2.2.2) and can lead to arbitrary code being executed when these commands are used on a well-crafted yaml specification.
Red Hat JBoss A-MQ 6.x; BPM Suite (BPMS) 6.x; BRMS 6.x and 5.x; Data Grid (JDG) 6.x; Data Virtualization (JDV) 6.x and 5.x; Enterprise Application Platform 6.x, 5.x, and 4.3.x; Fuse 6.x; Fuse Service Works (FSW) 6.x; Operations Network (JBoss ON) 3.x; Portal 6.x; SOA Platform (SOA-P) 5.x; Web Server (JWS) 3.x; Red Hat OpenShift/xPAAS 3.x; and Red Hat Subscription Asset Manager 1.3 allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via a crafted serialized Java object, related to the Apache Commons Collections (ACC) library.
The JIRA Workflow Designer Plugin in Atlassian JIRA Server before 6.3.0 improperly uses an XML parser and deserializer, which allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code, read arbitrary files, or cause a denial of service via a crafted serialized Java object.
CrushFTP 8.x before 8.2.0 has a serialization vulnerability.
The Qpid server on Red Hat Satellite 6 does not properly restrict message types, which allows remote authenticated users with administrative access on a managed content host to execute arbitrary code via a crafted message, related to a pickle processing problem in pulp.
PHPMemcachedAdmin 1.2.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary PHP code via vectors related "serialized data and the last part of the concatenated filename," which creates a file in webroot.
The xdr_bytes and xdr_string functions in the GNU C Library (aka glibc or libc6) 2.25 mishandle failures of buffer deserialization, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (virtual memory allocation, or memory consumption if an overcommit setting is not used) via a crafted UDP packet to port 111, a related issue to CVE-2017-8779. NOTE: [Information provided from upstream and references
HTTPServerILServlet.java in JMS over HTTP Invocation Layer of the JbossMQ implementation, which is enabled by default in Red Hat Jboss Application Server <= Jboss 4.X does not restrict the classes for which it performs deserialization, which allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via crafted serialized data.
VMware vSphere Data Protection (VDP) 6.1.x, 6.0.x, 5.8.x, and 5.5.x contains a deserialization issue. Exploitation of this issue may allow a remote attacker to execute commands on the appliance.
In Pivotal Spring AMQP versions prior to 1.7.4, 1.6.11, and 1.5.7, an org.springframework.amqp.core.Message may be unsafely deserialized when being converted into a string. A malicious payload could be crafted to exploit this and enable a remote code execution attack.
Vulnerability in the MySQL Connectors component of Oracle MySQL (subcomponent: Connector/J). Supported versions that are affected are 5.1.40 and earlier. Difficult to exploit vulnerability allows low privileged attacker with network access via multiple protocols to compromise MySQL Connectors. While the vulnerability is in MySQL Connectors, attacks may significantly impact additional products. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in takeover of MySQL Connectors. CVSS 3.0 Base Score 8.5 (Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.0/AV:N/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:H).
An issue was discovered in the node-serialize package 0.0.4 for Node.js. Untrusted data passed into the unserialize() function can be exploited to achieve arbitrary code execution by passing a JavaScript Object with an Immediately Invoked Function Expression (IIFE).
